Continue ShoppingN95 and KN95 masks are categorized as filtering facepiece respirators (FFR). This simply means that the masks are equipped with a filter. These respirators offer at least 95% filtration from airborne particles and fits securely around the patient’s nose and mouth.
The difference between an N95 and a KN95 mask is where the mask is certified. Much like other industries, respirators/masks have different approval sources and names. The Chinese certification is KN95 and the US certification is N95. They offer the same level of filtration.
In Canada, N95 respirator masks are regulated by Health Canada, and are only allowed to be imported and distributed by companies, such as PharmacyGo Medical Supplies, that hold a MDEL (Medical Device Establishment License).
